Amie enjoys spending time with her new husband, Shelton, and her four children, Drake, Allie, Jessica, and Rebekah. She enjoys singing on the Prase Team at her church and warm summer days. Amie is fluent in Sign Language and French, and loves to teach others. Amie has wanted to be a Speech/Language Pathologist since she was 10 years old. She is ready to help you talk and eat!

Shana is the wife of Kenny Turner. She and Kenny are very proud of their 2 grown children, Kenny W. & Gwen. Shana is head-over-heels in love with her Morkie puppies, Tux & Xedo. She loves Jesus Christ most of all! Shana has eclectic taste in just about everything. She places great value in life long learning and in mentoring. Around PRFC, Shana is mostly known for M&Ms, high heels and fixing things.

Ben is proud to have served the families of southern Virginia since 2010. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 2002, and then worked as a counselor at a mental health treatment center for children in Lynchburg, VA for four years, where he first became interested in speech-language pathology. He got his Master's degree from James Madison University, and then completed his Clinical Fellowship here at PRFC.

Tara loves her job! She loves working with children and individuals of all ages. She gets great satisfaction out of helping others gain function in their daily life. She loves learning new things, and am always looking for new and interesting evidence-based intervention strategies to use with her clients. Outside of work she enjoys being outdoors, disc golfing, tennis, and taking her dogs for walks.

Amanda is happily married to the love of her life Brandon, and they often enjoy taking trips together. She also loves to spend time with her nephews and "practicing" new treatment ideas with them. She has always had a passion for helping others and discovered OT her senior year of high school. She loves what she does, and hopes to make a difference in the lives of others.

Hillary Alderson

Hillary is an Averett University graduate with a Bachelors in Business and is very blessed with a wonderful husband, 2 kids and 3 furbabies. She absolutely loves being a wife and momma, and enjoys spending time with family most of all. She feels fortunate to work for such a great company like PRFC.

Jenny is a graduate of DCC with a degree in Administration Support Tech- Medical and also has a certificate in Medical Billing & Coding. She loves her job and feels very fortunate to work at PRFC. Jenny has a daughter and a granddaughter and is very proud of both of them.

Leigh Ann enjoys working as an OTA because she loves to help others become more independent and to return to their highest level of functioning. Outside of work, she is married to her husband of 4 years and they are blessed with two beautiful sons.

Kayleigh Chapman, MS/CF-SLP

Kayleigh relocated to Danville from Texas. Her dream has been to work with and improve the lives of children and she is ecstatic to be able to live that dream. Being able to work with and bounce ideas off of the different disciplines here and having a great support system is what makes working at PRFC so valuable! Off the clock, Kayleigh enjoys music of all kinds, dancing, escape rooms, karaoke, and embarking on adventures big and small.

Ellen has been married to her husband Richard for 36 years. She is the proud mother of three grown children (Christine, Daniel and Jonathan) and Nana to four grandchildren.

Emily Fowlkes

Emily loves working at PRFC and seeing all the patients in the waiting room! It is a joy to watch them grow. Outside of work she loves spending time with family and friends. She tries to live her life by the verse Philippians 4:13.

Janie-Lynn Hill, BS/ASLP

Assistant Speech/Language Pathologist

Janie-Lynn is currently a student at Liberty University, working on completing her Masters degree in Special Education. She loves her job at PRFC and has always loved working with children. She enjoys helping children with a variety of medical needs and gains great satisfaction watching them learn and succeed.

Kamryn Sadler, BS, ASLP

Assistant Speech/Language Pathologist

Kamryn is currently attending NOVA Southeastern University in Florida to obtain her Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She has a passion for helping those with difficulties communicating and finding alternate ways to make their lives a little easier. Kamryn and her husband, Drake, welcomed their baby girl, Aria, in January 2017. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and her four-legged child, Bentley. 

Janet Langley, COTA/L

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Janet has been a practicing COTA since 1987, predominately with pediatrics, with a special interest in sensory integration and neuromotor development techniques. She is truly blessed to be working at PRFC and being able to touch lives in such a unique way. She loves seeing the progress in patients.

Jouette Rowe, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

Jouette is a graduate of the VCU occupational therapy program. She enjoys working with both children and adults, especially individuals with feeding difficulties! She is passionate about using evidence based practice to help individuals of all ages develop new skills and participate fully in their daily activities. 

Paula Hach, MS/CCC-SLP

Paula has been practicing speech for over 8 years. She is passionate about helping children and adults learn to communicate with their friends and loved ones to improve their quality of life. Outside of work, Paula enjoys spending time with her husband Matt, furbabies Cheddar and Katana, and her friends and family.

Sarah is a graduate of Radford University and  Chatham native. She values having the opportunity to bring her knowledge and skills back to her home region. As an SLP, Sarah loves pediatrics and enjoys watching and celebrating the progress of her patients and improving the quality of their life.

Cullen Cooke, MS/CF-SLP

Cullen moved from South Carolina for this opportunity. He enjoys working as a speech pathologist because he enjoys seeing individuals begin to communicate more effectively in order to live a more fulfilled life. He is interested in linguistic-cognitive therapy for adults and kids, and also in swallowing therapy so individuals can have the simple pleasure of eating and swallowing as effectively as possible.

Cara Weatherford, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

Cara feels fortunate to work with children and their families as an OT. She has learned a great deal and cherishes celebrating growth and gains of her patients. Cara speaks Spanish and English, and enjoys the opportunity to work and learn with children and families of diverse cultural backgrounds. She is  a proud Christian who is grateful to God for being blessed with an amazing family, fiancée, friends, church family, and work family.

Kelsey Miller, A-SLP

Speech/Language Pathology Assitant

Kelsey loves working with children as an SLPA. She believes in the importance of bridging gaps in communication. Kelsey enjoys shopping and creating decorations in her spare time. She also enjoys being a part of the Praise & Worship Team at her church. She looks forward to the fellowship and togetherness of her family, appreciating their love & support in all she does.

Carrie Hixson, COTA

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant 

PRFC team member since September 2016

Carrie was a Vet Tech for 13 years, caring for animals before going back to college for OT & she loves her new career! When she is not at working helping people, she can be found enjoying outdoor activities, reading, or spending time with her pets. Carrie is originally from Pennsylvania and even though she doesn’t miss the PA winters, she misses living so close to her favorite football team the Steelers!
